Environmental Graphic Design
Artwork proposal for The Arts Commission signal box wrap project. Artists were asked to create a design featuring local flora and fauna of Northwest Ohio, bright colors (to help with overheating issues), and something fun/whimsical that could relate to multiple ages and audiences.
When observing previous designs, noted a lack of environmental interaction, and wanted to give pedestrians waiting nearby an opportunity for playful engagement with their surroundings. Took inspiration from hidden-object puzzles and the natural, clever camouflage of insects. With the beauty of butterflies being more widely noted, intentionally opted to illustrate moths to showcase their equally-as-interesting aesthetics.
